The S.T.A.R.S. Mentoring Program is a non-profit organization that was implemented to help keep Portland youth active in the gym and out of gang and street activities. S.T.A.R.S. works directly with local alternative schools to keep at-risk students on track to graduate on time. For more about the S.T.A.R.S. Spread DaLove presents the 1st Annual Girls Got Game High School Combine. This 2-day event is for HS Girl's Class of 2017 & 2018. The weekend combine will educate student-athletes on how to promote themselves to college coaches, gather information on skill development techniques and start an athletic portfolio. It is also a great opportunity to showcase talent to various College Coaches.

Oregon's top high school basketball players competed head to head on April 9th at Concordia University. The 4th annual Oregon All-Star Showcase featured the top boys and girls in the state. The 2017 MVP honors went to St. Mary's Academy Bendu Yeaney (Indiana), Southridge's Kaelin Immel (Air Force), West Linn's Nolan Bertain and Westview's Mason Elliott.
